Apple will reveal the next-generation iPhone, which many expect to be called the ‘iPhone 5′, a much-rumored smaller iPad model that some have dubbed the ‘iPad mini’ and a new iPod nano on September 12th, according to unsubstantiated reports.
The same reports also suggest the sixth-generation iPhone will go on sale on September 19th, but a rollout date for the smaller iPad and iPod nano remain unknown.
The dates are in line with at least one analyst’s projection of an early September launch for the next-generation iPhone and iPad mini, although other analysts have forecast that the ‘iPad mini’ will be released later in the year following an August manufacturing ramp-up.
The next-generation iPhone is expected to be taller and slimmer, with a bigger, 4 inch screen, and include the new, smaller 19-pin dock connector.
A number of rumours suggest the iPad mini will be very similar to the 9.7 inch iPad, but scaled down to around 7 inches and also include the smaller 19-pin dock connector.
